Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional lead for strategy within the Value Creation Team (VCT)
  • Partner with the Managing Director and VCT leaders to advance the overall value creation agenda
  • Develop, implement, and assess key strategic initiatives to drive accelerated growth across portfolio companies
  • Lead multi-year strategic planning and value creation plan (VCP) workshops with portfolio leadership
  • Conduct in-depth research and analyses to create strategic fact bases and executive-ready materials
  • Support investment teams during commercial diligence for new platform and add-on investments
  • Lead and manage relationships with external vendors such as strategy consultancies and market research shops

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or operational experience leading strategy in a corporate setting
  • Direct experience with SaaS or highly recurring revenue business models is required
  • Proven ability to work closely with CXOs and run strategic planning workshops
  • Strong executive presence and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high growth, lower middle market environment
  • Experience leading buy-side commercial diligence projects for private equity clients at a consultancy
