Responsibilities
- Serve as the functional lead for strategy within the Value Creation Team (VCT)
- Partner with the Managing Director and VCT leaders to advance the overall value creation agenda
- Develop, implement, and assess key strategic initiatives to drive accelerated growth across portfolio companies
- Lead multi-year strategic planning and value creation plan (VCP) workshops with portfolio leadership
- Conduct in-depth research and analyses to create strategic fact bases and executive-ready materials
- Support investment teams during commercial diligence for new platform and add-on investments
- Lead and manage relationships with external vendors such as strategy consultancies and market research shops
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or operational experience leading strategy in a corporate setting
- Direct experience with SaaS or highly recurring revenue business models is required
- Proven ability to work closely with CXOs and run strategic planning workshops
- Strong executive presence and relationship building skills
- Ability to work as an independent contributor when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high growth, lower middle market environment
- Experience leading buy-side commercial diligence projects for private equity clients at a consultancy
