Subject Matter Expert - Wastewater Treatment

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor for the firm to elevate technical capabilities in wastewater treatment
• Provide firmwide direction and internal consultation on specialized wastewater services
• Ensure all processes and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Prepare and review compliance documentation and reports
• Maintain technical reputation through papers, presentations, and professional society representation
• Research and analyze wastewater-related data, trends, and emerging technologies
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners
• Lead and manage water/wastewater treatment projects from conceptual design through implementation
• Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 12+ years of experience in water/wastewater process engineering
• Strong technical background in wastewater treatment, modeling, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in leading and mentoring others
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
