Job description
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the Systems Assurance framework, strategy, and compliance processes for rail and transportation projects.
- Manage Systems Assurance, RAMS, safety assurance, verification & validation (V&V), and certification activities for all rail systems and operational interfaces.
- Ensure full integration and assurance coordination between railway systems including signalling, power supply, OCC, communications, and rolling stock.
- Develop and manage assurance deliverables such as hazard logs, assurance reports, compliance matrices, safety cases, and verification plans.
- Support Systems Engineering activities including requirements management, traceability, and interface management across multidisciplinary systems.
- Coordinate with designers, contractors, operators, and regulatory authorities to support approvals and certification processes.
- Identify and manage technical, safety, operational, and integration risks and implement mitigation measures.
Requirements
- Relevant Engineering Degree from a recognized University.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in rail projects and/or rail operations.
- Extensive knowledge of RAMS, verification & validation (V&V), and safety assurance for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, including requirements management and traceability.
- Proven experience managing technical and management scope of complex multidisciplinary rail systems packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification or membership with a recognized engineering, railway, safety, or systems assurance institution.
- Additional certifications in Systems Assurance, RAMS, Functional Safety, or Railway Safety.
- Experience with airport integration, passenger systems, and baggage handling interfaces for express railway operations.
