Job description
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end infrastructure setups across global regions and colocations, including bring-up, validation, and go-live readiness
- Own the systems stack, including Linux servers, OS baselines, automation, configuration, and performance tuning
- Run and improve testing and validation processes, such as connectivity checks, load tests, and failure testing
- Investigate complex issues and bottlenecks across OS, kernel, drivers, and dependencies
- Build repeatable automation and rollout playbooks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting
- Improve observability through metrics, logs, dashboards, and alert tuning
- Strengthen operations via runbooks, incident reviews (RCA), and documentation
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to support trading infrastructure and incident response
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience with Linux and systems troubleshooting
- Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, MTU, and packet loss/jitter symptoms
- Automation mindset with proficiency in Bash or Python
- Ability to debug across multiple layers and coordinate with network and hardware engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for status updates and documentation
- Availability to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Low-latency or performance tuning experience (CPU/IRQ affinity, NIC tuning, etc.)
- Experience with colocation or provider coordination
- Knowledge of time synchronization basics (NTP/PTP)
- Interest or experience in trading, exchange, or broker connectivity
