Job description

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate quantum computing architectures, devices, algorithms, and applications
  • Identify Performer subsystems and components required for system design and construction
  • Develop, implement, and execute models and simulations at component and system levels
  • Assess design, development, and integration risks
  • Assist non-traditional performers with design reviews and system concept readiness
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams of physicists, scientists, and engineers to synthesize solutions
  • Lead novel workflows to enhance evaluation processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Minimum one year of professional experience in physics, mathematics, computer engineering, or operations research
  • Knowledge of standard Systems Engineering frameworks (SysML, DoDAF)
  • Experience with benchmarking methodologies and performance analysis
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools
  • Ability to analyze and visualize complex data using mathematics and statistics
  • U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10%-40% monthly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq, QuTiP)
  • Experience with quantum error correction and fault tolerance
  • Expertise in quantum resource estimation tools
  • Knowledge of photonic or superconducting principles and devices
