Responsibilities
- Drive partner adoption of WordPress and Automattic products and services
- Resolve incoming partner requests with high precision and clear communication
- Collaborate with partners to define website functionality in ambiguous contexts
- Own delivery, timelines, and outcomes for partner projects
- Dive into WordPress and WooCommerce configurations, setup, and site building
- Lead high-touch deployments and launches including DNS configuration, domain transfers, data migrations, and integrations
- Troubleshoot technical and editor-facing issues, resolving root causes and escalating to engineers when needed
- Translate partner requests into concrete, WordPress-focused requirements and detailed tasks
- Respond to urgent incidents on partner sites with speed, care, and attention to detail
- Act as the voice of the customer, championing product improvements and surfacing bugs
- Communicate with third parties about integration requirements and WordPress best practices
- Continuously improve and share processes that increase active project capacity
Requirements
- Advanced WordPress admin expertise, including understanding how plugins and themes interact and comfort using the Site Editor
- Strong background with general web technologies including DNS, web accessibility, site performance, technical SEO, and ecommerce
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for making technical language understandable
- Ability to triage requests and escalate needs outside the skillset or scope of the role
- Demonstrated ability to manage assigned work independently while adjusting to new and competing priorities
- Comfortable creating structure in ambiguous situations and pursuing a clear path forward
- Effective problem solving, conflict resolution, and context-switching
- Distilling goals and wishlists into concrete next steps
- Managing risks in high-stakes situations with confidence
- High attention to detail and commitment to closing out project checklist items
- Demonstrable understanding of how AI can multiply productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributed to an open source project
- Experience using Linear as a project or product management tool
- Supported or run your own WooCommerce store
