Technical Governance Lead

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and enforce technical governance frameworks, policies, and standards across IT systems and software delivery
• Lead governance oversight for software development, testing, automation, DevSecOps, and security
• Drive adoption of Team Managed Deployment (TMD) practices for efficient software delivery
• Oversee automated policy enforcement and prescriptive remediation strategies to reduce maturity gaps
• Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize engineering practices across multiple programs
• Define and monitor governance KPIs to ensure continuous improvement in deployment speed and release quality
• Provide leadership and direction to technical teams to ensure accountability and adherence to standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT, including leadership roles in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
• Proven experience establishing governance frameworks across software development and DevSecOps
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices
• Experience implementing automated governance and compliance validation within engineering workflows
• Familiarity with federal or highly regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and quality assurance practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
