Technical Product Manager

About the Company

The Agency Fund (TAF) is a nonprofit accelerator working at the intersection of technology, AI, and behavioral science in global development. We embed engineers and product managers directly inside evidence-based nonprofits to help them build data infrastructure, run experiments, and scale their impact.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface for 3–4 NGO partners, building trust and scoping collaborations through structured discovery.
• Translate partner needs into technical roadmaps and advisory on product, data, and experimentation.
• Build dashboards, data pipelines, AI evaluations, and production integrations.
• Define and drive product roadmaps and run agile sprints with the engineering team.
• Coach partner organization staff and mentor Lighthouse Fellows on navigating nonprofit environments.
• Contribute to TAF's internal playbook by documenting engagement frameworks and institutional knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years in technical product management, solutions engineering, or tech consulting.
• Experience shipping AI/LLM features, data pipelines, or production APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to navigate a codebase.
• Experience using quantitative methods for causal inference (A/B tests) or predictive analytics.
• Strong expertise in agile methodologies (sprints, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
• Proven track record in low-resource, mission-driven, or Tech for International Development contexts.
• Ability to manage competing stakeholder needs across engineers, scientists, and program teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with global development data stacks like ODK, DHIS2, Kobo, Metabase, or dbt.
• Familiarity with the evidence-based development ecosystem (e.g., J-PAL, IPA, IDinsight).
• Prior experience at a B2B product company.
• Exposure to GenAI product development, including prompt engineering and LLM integrations.
