Technical Support Specialist

About the Company

Rebar is building the next-generation operating system for commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing suppliers and subcontractors. We are transforming the $250B HVAC industry with AI-native software.

Responsibilities

• Own frontline support by responding to inbound client questions via messaging, tickets, and video calls
• Take full ownership of issues from first response through resolution while hitting SLAs
• Diagnose bugs, replicate issues, and partner with Engineering to drive resolutions
• Surface patterns, recurring issues, and product gaps to inform roadmap decisions
• Help build and refine support workflows, SLAs, and tooling
• Guide customers on workflows and best practices to drive product adoption
• Create and maintain internal and client-facing documentation and FAQs

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in B2B technical support or a similar customer-facing technical role
• HVAC experience as a contractor or engineer
• Strong troubleshooting skills across web-based software products
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
• Experience using support tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Jira, or Linear
• Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at an early-stage startup
• Background in construction, engineering, or HVAC industries
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or debugging tools
• Experience creating support documentation and training materials
