Technical Translator

Responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation from English and Italian into Croatian
• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) to optimize text quality
• Ensure target text accurately reflects the meaning and nuance of the source material
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy, correct punctuation, and proper terminology
• Follow specific project instructions, including the use of translation memories, glossaries, and style guides
• Correct formatting, tagging, and cultural references to meet client expectations

Requirements

• Native Croatian speaker
• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
• Excellent command of English and Italian (both written and comprehension)
• Proficiency with CAT tools and general IT skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized experience in technical translation and proofreading
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
