Technical Translator

Responsibilities

• Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source
• Provide corrections and text optimization based on MT output
• Understand post-editing guidelines and ensure quality standards meet client expectations
• Perform linguistic tasks using translation memory, glossaries, and style guides
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy and key terminology
• Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, and cultural references

Requirements

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native Norwegian speaker
• Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience
• Excellent command of Italian (comprehension and writing)
• Experience in technical translation and proofreading
• Proficiency with CAT tools and IT skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
