Responsibilities

• Lead the development of high-quality technical documentation for complex software systems and space ground architectures
• Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, API documentation, and operational procedures
• Translate technical requirements, architecture, and workflows into clear, concise written materials
• Establish and enforce documentation standards, processes, and style guidelines across programs
• Ensure documentation aligns with government requirements, compliance frameworks, and contract deliverables
• Review and edit technical content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Partner with engineers and program teams to gather and validate technical information
• Drive documentation best practices across engineering and program contributors

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in technical writing
• Experience documenting software systems, APIs, or distributed architectures
• Experience aligning documentation with government or regulated program requirements
• Proficiency with version control and documentation management tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance
