Technology Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for working groups in areas such as renewable energy, carbon trading, and forest monitoring
• Generate opportunities for strategic partnerships
• Attend conferences and events to promote the BCI and communicate research findings
• Engage with key stakeholders using professional presentations

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, R, Scala, Go)
• Strong technical skills in math and coding
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in software development or data-driven systems
• Ability to work independently and within teams using Agile methodologies
• Experience in designing and facilitating independent research

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant degree or training in a technical discipline
• Portfolio of supported Open Source GitHub projects
• Knowledge of climate change, climate finance, or blockchain technology
• Fluency in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish
