Telecom Observability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies across distributed systems
• Deploy and maintain monitoring solutions using tools like Sevone, Grafana, and CloudPak4AiOPs
• Develop automated alerting systems with AI-powered anomaly detection
• Create and maintain dashboards for real-time system visibility
• Implement distributed tracing and log aggregation solutions
• Create on-demand dashboards to monitor specific metrics or validate service restoration
• Provide technical support to NOC engineers to analyze and solve issues
• Develop KPIs and metrics to monitor mobile network performance
• Develop training material related to KPIs and dashboards
• Troubleshoot, document, and assess proper escalation channels

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in a telecom environment performing L3 support or similar roles
• Expertise in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, SevOne, or CloudPak
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G mobile networks
• Basic Python, Linux, and Bash knowledge
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of SLO/SLI/SLA concepts
• Proficient English written and spoken
