Telehealth Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities

• Conduct synchronous nutrition counseling sessions to support medication-assisted weight loss journeys
• Manage common GLP-1 and AOMs side effects through personalized nutrition strategies
• Apply evidence-based behavior change techniques like motivational interviewing and SMART goal-setting
• Adapt care plans in response to medication changes, insurance coverage, or weight-loss plateaus
• Follow up with patients via asynchronous messaging and coordinate care with clinicians
• Complete timely session documentation including ADIME notes

Requirements

• RD/RDN credentialed with the CDR (active and in good standing)
• Licensed in multiple states (e.g., NY, IN, CA, PA, NC, GA, TX, SC, MD, OH, CT, MA, HI, SD, or MT)
• Active NPI required
• At least 2 years of independent practice experience, preferably in obesity medicine or cardiometabolic disease
• Previous telemedicine experience
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and secure messaging
• Active professional liability insurance
• Must be authorized to work and physically based in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM)
• Direct experience supporting patients on GLP-1 receptor agonists
• Training in motivational interviewing or cognitive behavioral techniques
• Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, or a related clinical field
• Bilingual English/Spanish
