Telugu Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Telugu-English interpretation for OPI and VRI calls in healthcare and legal settings
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with video remote interpreting dress codes
• Take detailed notes during calls and apply industry-specific terminology standards
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Complete internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and uphold the Interpreter's Code of Conduct

Requirements

• Native fluency in Telugu and fluent English proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical and/or legal terminology preferred
• Healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with healthcare or legal interpretation
• Familiarity with remote interpreting platforms and workflows
• Additional language certifications or specialized training
