Job description
Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new stores within the assigned Southern California territory
- Manage and grow territory-level focused accounts and small chains through HQ relationships
- Build and maintain strong distribution and store-level relationships
- Meet and exceed sales targets and manage trade spend and travel budgets
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for order fulfillment and client satisfaction
- Execute new product launches, promotions, and marketing programs
- Attend industry events and distributor/retailer shows
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Pet or CPG industry selling to retailers
- Experience selling through distributor sales reps
- Thorough understanding of the pet industry, distributors, and retailers
- Knowledge of sales management within the retail channel
- Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships
- Strategic planning skills to maximize territory sales
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Must be open to up to 75% travel
