Test Engineer

We are seeking a Test Engineer based in Dubai (hybrid) to join a large-scale project with a global consulting client. The role involves designing and executing testing strategies, delivering both automated and manual tests, and driving automation of testing and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Test VoIP and telephony solutions across functional, integration and regression levels
• Execute testing strategies and process improvements
• Plan and ensure appropriate levels/types of testing are included in delivery lifecycles
• Create, maintain and reuse test artefacts (test cases, plans, scripts, documentation)
• Deliver automated and manual tests to meet milestones
• Raise, report and track risks and defects
• Implement automation for infrastructure setup, testing activities, releases, deployments and reporting
• Challenge development teams to ensure high quality and coverage

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years industry experience in software testing
• Proven experience testing VoIP products and/or telephony solutions
• Strong knowledge of testing levels and types (functional, system, integration, regression, performance, security, accessibility, compatibility, maintainability)
• Experience with test automation and automation strategy in Agile delivery
• Programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, JavaScript or similar)
• Experience with defect tracking and risk reporting
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mobile automation tools (Appium)
• Familiarity with AWS Device Farm or similar device farms
• Hands-on test automation implementation experience (CI/CD integration for tests)
• Background in large program testing and test strategy execution
