Trader Cement Desk Europe

Responsibilities

• Analyse local, regional and international markets to identify trading opportunities for cement and related bulk commodities.
• Source and secure strategic suppliers and reliable buyers to expand portfolio coverage.
• Manage purchase and sale of cargoes (cement, clinker, slag, coal, gypsum, limestone and related bulks).
• Coordinate with in-house shipping teams and counterparties on chartering, freight and vessel operations.
• Prepare competitive offers, negotiate terms, and finalise sale and purchase transactions.
• Draft and review commercial contracts with terms protecting the organisation while maintaining client comfort.
• Monitor counterparties’ performance against contract terms and resolve operational or contractual issues.
• Optimise trade profitability through cost control and risk mitigation strategies.
• Produce regular market, budgeting and business-planning reports for management.
• Collaborate with the Cemcoa trading team and support continuous improvement initiatives.
