Transportation Broker - Wholesale

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal commercial trucking accounts up to 40 per week
• Analyze risk using loss runs, MVRs, CAB reports, and FMCSA data
• Make eligibility and pricing recommendations based on underwriting guidelines
• Prepare market submissions, quote proposals, and coverage comparisons
• Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive terms
• Track account performance to identify profitability issues or loss trends
• Partner with internal teams to support marketing and sales

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting or brokerage
• Experience in wholesale and/or retail brokerage settings
• Active Property & Casualty license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in trucking, commercial auto, or casualty lines
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field
• Professional designations such as TRS, CIC, CPCU, or AU
• Surplus Lines license
• Knowledge of agency management systems like AMS360 or IMS
