Trauma Level 2 Registrar

Responsibilities

• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records
• Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries or measure data repositories
• Prioritize and meet tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks
• Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines
• Stay updated on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements

Requirements

• Direct Level 2 Facility Trauma Registry abstraction experience
• Completed ATS (American Trauma Society) Course
• Completed AAAM Training or AIS 15 Coding Course
• Completed Annual TQIP Education
• ICD-10 Training and Certification within the last 5 years
• Exposure to multiple EMRs and clinical databases
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct clinical experience
• Completed anatomy course
• Active CSTR, CAISS, or CCS Certification
