Trauma Registrar

Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, summarize, and interpret trauma registry data from patient medical records
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to specified registries and repositories
• Navigate EMR systems and registry entry tools to troubleshoot technical issues
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory data requirements
• Contribute to best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines

Requirements

• Direct Level 1 Facility Trauma Registry abstraction experience
• ATS Course completion
• AAAM AIS 15 Coding Course completion
• Annual TQIP Education completion
• ICD-10 Training and Certification within the last 5 years
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct clinical experience
• Experience at a Level I ACS-verified Trauma Facility
• Anatomy coursework
• Active CSTR, CAISS, or CCS Certification
