Ukrainian-English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Ukrainian-English interpretation for OPI and VRI calls in healthcare and other industries
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Apply professional standards of practice and interpreter code of conduct
• Take detailed notes during calls and maintain strict accuracy standards
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native fluency in Ukrainian and fluent English
• High school diploma
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI interpretation experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Healthcare industry certifications preferred (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
• High emotional intelligence and cross-cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows 10 or higher (Mac and Chromebook not allowed)
• Dual-core 2GHz processor (Intel Core i5 or superior)
• 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired internet connection: 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload minimum (Wi-Fi not allowed)
• USB wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth or wireless)
