Ukrainian Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Apply specialized healthcare and medical terminology knowledge during interpretation
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients with accuracy and completeness
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Fluent in English and native-level Ukrainian proficiency
• 1+ years of over-the-telephone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma in native language
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance with excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Preferred Qualifications

• International certifications in healthcare interpretation (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
