Ukrainian OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete interpretation between Ukrainian and English in medical and legal settings
• Answer OPI/VRI calls professionally and adhere to interpreter code of conduct
• Take detailed notes during calls and render messages without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain awareness of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly healthcare and medical terminology
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native fluency in Ukrainian and fluent English proficiency
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology awareness preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Wired internet connection with minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds (Wi-Fi not permitted)
• Windows 10 or higher operating system
• Computer with dual-core 2GHz processor (Intel Core i3 4th Gen or superior) and 8GB RAM minimum
• USB noise-cancelling wired headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth allowed)
• Single computer or laptop operating in High Performance mode with power adapter plugged in
