Ukrainian VRI/OPI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Apply specialized medical and healthcare vocabulary during interpreting sessions
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients with accuracy and completeness
• Maintain dress code requirements for video remote interpreting
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and provide the highest level of customer service

Requirements

• Native fluency in Ukrainian and fluent English
• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures
• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Wired internet connection with minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds
• Windows 10 computer with dual core 2GHz processor and 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no wireless or Bluetooth)

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications such as PICSI, ALTA, or HIPAA
• Additional legal interpretation experience or training
