UN Women - Consultant Gender and Social Policy Expert (Home-based)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the design and development of a gender-responsive National Care Policy for Saint Lucia
• Review existing national policies, strategies, and legal frameworks relevant to care, gender equality, and labour
• Contribute to the drafting and refinement of the National Care Policy using the 5Rs framework
• Support the design and facilitation of stakeholder consultations involving government, civil society, and the private sector
• Prepare policy briefs, presentations, and summary materials for validation meetings
• Conduct qualitative analysis on care work in Saint Lucia through focus groups and interviews

Requirements

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree with additional qualifying experience in Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or Gender and Development
• Demonstrable experience drafting national care policies
• At least 5 years of experience working on gender equality and/or human rights
• Strong legal analysis and social research skills
• Fluency in written and oral English
