Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead desk reviews of research, policies, and administrative data on women's entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan
  • Provide methodological guidance and quality assurance for primary data collection, including interviews and focus groups
  • Conduct integrated analysis of evidence to identify gaps and best practices in the entrepreneurship ecosystem
  • Write comprehensive assessment reports and prepare stakeholder validation presentations
  • Map private-sector HR and skills needs, including gender-responsive assessments of workplace barriers
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to the National Consultant on research design and implementation
  • Ensure all outputs meet high-quality analytical standards and are gender-responsive

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social sciences, entrepreneurial studies, or an equivalent field with a specialization in gender
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in socio-economic studies related to women's economic empowerment or labor market analysis
  • Proven experience in conducting legal reviews, skills-needs assessments, and employability assessments
  • Demonstrated experience working with public institutions, private sector, and CSOs on women's economic empowerment
  • Experience in organizing and implementing focus groups and surveys
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Russian is an asset
