Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage customer needs related to multi-state unclaimed property matters including assessments, audit defense, or voluntary disclosure agreement programs
• Prepare customers for examinations by describing forthcoming requests and process knowledge
• Represent customers in auditor discussions regarding examination status and responses to information document requests
• Analyze customer data to present potential unclaimed property risk and mitigation tactics
• Develop customer deliverables and reports for state submission through completion of the review
• Lead, train, and develop junior resources while contributing to a positive and inclusive culture
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships through effective communication
• Manage customer engagements regarding business expectations, scope of services, and team performance
• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to increase efficiency
• Stay updated on changing unclaimed property legislation and technical developments

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of unclaimed property professional expertise
• Prior consulting experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High quality verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
• BA/BS in accounting, business administration, finance, engineering, information systems, or a similar degree
• Proven experience managing annual consulting engagements such as audit defense or voluntary disclosure programs
