Responsibilities

• Assist companies with multi-state unclaimed property matters including assessments, audit defense, or voluntary disclosure agreement process
• Prepare companies for examination(s) by describing forthcoming requests and knowledge of the process
• Represent clients on auditor discussions regarding the current status of the examination and responses to information document requests
• Track client requests and submissions and assist with record review including tax documents, accounting records, policies and procedures
• Perform data analysis to identify potential unclaimed property risks
• Develop and present strategies to mitigate potential unclaimed property exposure
• Aid in drafting final deliverables and reports for client and state submission
• Travel up to 30%

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of unclaimed property professional expertise
• Proven experience in audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreement programs, or policy and procedures
• BA/BS in accounting, business administration, finance, engineering, or information systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High-quality verbal and written communication skills
