Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales and Processing teams to review homeowner applications quickly and accurately
• Evaluate applicant and property information against underwriting criteria to make informed investment recommendations
• Review and analyze appraisal reports for accuracy, compliance, market trends, and property conditions
• Flag applications that raise concerns regarding completeness or risk
• Determine eligibility amounts based on analysis of applicant and property information
• Collaborate with cross-functional Sales and Operations associates to complete application reviews

Requirements

• Prior underwriting experience
• Sharp attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Strong judgment and ability to make recommendations against a rules rubric
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in real estate and fintech

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
