Responsibilities

• Independently attend broker visits and conduct broker meetings to build relationships
• Utilize industry knowledge and underwriting guidelines to accept, reject, or mitigate risk
• Determine appropriate premiums, limits, and coverages for complex applications
• Approve or decline insurance applications within established authority limits
• Document underwriting files, including risk analysis and pricing justification
• Utilize multiple databases and specialized software to verify data and compare risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience
• Ability to independently evaluate risk and make determinations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards Property & Casualty Brokers License
