UX Designer (Figma + Component Systems)

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a scalable Figma component library and design system to ensure a cohesive and efficient user experience across the product.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to facilitate seamless design handoffs and ensure accurate implementation of UI components and features.
• Conduct light UX exploration, including wireframing and prototyping, to support product development and iterate on user flows.
• Document design guidelines, system patterns, and best practices to foster consistency and knowledge sharing within a remote, cross-functional team.
• Contribute to the evolution of an AI-powered marketing platform by translating complex requirements into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in UX Design, UI Design, or a related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design system contributions and digital product design.
• Expert-Level Figma Proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of Figma, including advanced features such as Auto Layout, Variants, Component Properties, Styles, and Prototyping tools.
• Design System Development: Proven experience in creating, managing, and scaling design systems, component libraries, and UI kits.
• UI/UX Best Practices: Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design techniques.
• Visual Design and Consistency: Strong eye for visual design, layout, typography, and color theory, with a commitment to maintaining brand consistency and high-quality aesthetics.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Ability to create clear wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear, comprehensive design documentation, guidelines, and system specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Webflow/Shopify Experience: Familiarity with web design platforms like Webflow or Shopify, particularly in building and deploying websites.
• Engineering Collaboration: Experience working closely with software engineers, understanding development constraints, and facilitating smooth design-to-development handoffs.
• Light UX Exploration: Experience with user research methodologies, user journey mapping, and conducting usability testing.
• AI/Marketing Platform Context: Familiarity with the nuances of designing for AI-powered platforms, SEO, or digital advertising tools.
