Value Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead structured value discovery engagements to identify and quantify the cost of automation gaps
• Build rigorous, defensible business cases and CFO-grade financial models (NPV, IRR, payback analyses)
• Partner with Sales and Client Directors in enterprise sales cycles to lead value workstreams
• Run executive value workshops with C-suite and operational leadership
• Own the value realisation framework, establishing baseline metrics and conducting regular reviews
• Build and maintain a value benchmark library and sector-specific ROI models
• Create a value engineering toolkit including ROI calculators and presentation templates
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure platform instrumentation supports value measurement

Requirements

• 6+ years in value engineering, value advisory, or management consulting
• Experience in enterprise software, process automation, or AI/data platforms
• Proven ability to build and present ROI models to C-suite and finance stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling capability (NPV, IRR, payback analyses)
• Deep understanding of enterprise investment decision-making processes
• Excellent communication and executive presence
• Experience conducting operational process analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in maritime, shipping, energy, or industrial sectors
• Background in value engineering at recognized enterprise software companies (e.g., ServiceNow, Celonis, SAP, Salesforce)
• Experience with process mining, workflow analytics, or operational intelligence tools
• Familiarity with AI automation economics and modeling labour displacement or error reduction
• Experience building value benchmark databases from scratch
