Vendor Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Vendor Management Lead in selecting product ranges and setting pricing principles
• Nominate SKUs for effective promotional campaigns and events
• Monitor SKU performance and optimize the product range
• Deep dive into category performance to execute plans for sustainable growth
• Develop and manage relationships with local and international grocery suppliers
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and service levels
• Analyze vendor performance and take corrective actions regarding service and quality
• Manage vendor compliance and regulatory adherence
• Collaborate with the in-stock team to source new products and maintain inventory levels
• Resolve vendor disputes including invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities
• Drive media spend with vendors to enhance product visibility on the platform

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in vendor/category management or buying functions
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset for evaluating category performance
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build vendor partnerships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal collaboration
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Proactive, results-driven approach to procurement
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in international FMCG sourcing or fresh food categories
• Knowledge of BI and data analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
