Vice President, Psychometrics & Measurement

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization's psychometric and measurement strategy
• Establish and lead an internal research agenda for K-12 assessment innovation
• Provide executive oversight of psychometric operations including scaling, equating, and statistical modeling
• Ensure rigorous quality control across all psychometric deliverables and technical documentation
• Serve as the primary technical spokesperson to state education agencies, districts, and policymakers
• Lead research plans for statewide contracts and develop technical language for RFP responses
• Manage annual budget planning, staffing strategy, and financial performance for Psychometrics
• Mentor and develop senior leaders and technical staff

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, Statistics, or related field
• 15+ years of progressive experience in educational measurement
• 8+ years of senior leadership experience
• Deep experience with statewide assessment programs and operational psychometrics
• Advanced expertise in Item Response Theory (IRT) and Classical Test Theory (CTT)
• Proficiency in psychometric software (e.g., Winsteps) and statistical programming (R, Python, SAS)
• Proven experience managing operational and research budgets
