Virtual Intervention Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to assist in intervention strategies and modify general education curricula
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and functional behavior assessments
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

Requirements

• Current state Intervention Specialist License
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Experience working in a full room inclusion or Co-Teaching Resource Room model
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
