Responsibilities

• Design storyboards, frames, and visual systems before animating
• Create motion-first learning content including static and audio videos, simple animations, and voiceover-led explainers
• Translate scripts and concepts into clear visual sequences using layout, iconography, type, and motion
• Develop reusable motion templates and systems aligned with Karya’s brand
• Collaborate with content writers, instructional designers, and product teams to ensure accessibility and clarity
• Iterate quickly using low fidelity prototypes refined through testing
• Design for clarity to support low-literacy or first-time digital users

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in graphic design with a strong motion design component
• Solid foundation in layout, visual hierarchy, typography, and iconography
• Proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, Figma, or Canva
• Basic knowledge of Premiere Pro
• Familiarity with lightweight animation formats like Lottie
• Ability to simplify complex ideas visually

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for low-literacy, multilingual, or rural audiences
• Background in ed-tech, public-interest tech, or non-profits
• Comfort with AI-assisted design tools
• Knowledge of Indian languages or regional media contexts
