VP of Finance

Responsibilities

• Build and own the finance function from the ground up, establishing accounting foundations and financial reporting
• Ensure consistent accounting and bookkeeping practices and identify process gaps
• Manage multi-jurisdiction tax compliance at the state and international levels
• Own and define financial metrics used to steer business decisions and leadership models
• Produce financial documentation for fundraising, board reporting, and investor relations
• Oversee procurement integrity, including hardware, services, and software license billing
• Drive improvements to billing cycle complexity and operational efficiencies

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance experience, with significant time as a Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO
• Hands-on experience with accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
• Proven track record of managing multi-jurisdiction tax compliance (US and international)
• Experience building or formalizing finance operations within a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong analytical skills and comfort owning complex financial models
• Ability to work at a scrappy, hands-on pace

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with usage-based billing models or SaaS revenue recognition
• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or an MBA
• Prior experience in fintech, trading, or high-growth tech startups
• Experience preparing materials for fundraising rounds
