Workday HCM Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end functional solution architecture for Workday workstreams including HCM, Time Tracking, and Payroll
• Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable Workday designs
• Lead architecture and design workshops for public sector clients
• Anticipate cross-module dependencies across Absence, Recruiting, Benefits, and Compensation
• Act as a trusted advisor to client executives (CHRO, CFO, CIO)
• Mentor Functional Leads and Consultants
• Participate in pre-sales solutioning and client presentations

Requirements

• 10+ years of HRIS or ERP experience
• 5+ years of Workday delivery experience
• Proven experience as a Workday Solution Architect or Functional Architect
• Deep expertise in Core HCM, Time Tracking, or US Payroll
• Strong public sector implementation experience (state, local government, or K-12)
• Minimum of two Workday Implementer Certifications (Core HCM required)
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Workday US Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruiting, or Learning
• Experience with union contracts and collective bargaining agreements
