YouTube Assistant Video Editor

Responsibilities

• Organize and sync footage, prepare interview timelines, and manage multicam sequences in DaVinci Resolve
• Clean, label, and structure project timelines and manage media assets via Dropbox
• Prepare b-roll and graphics placeholders to assist the lead editor
• Gradually transition into editing story segments, structuring explanations, and managing full 10–20 minute documentary-style episodes
• Refine rough cuts into polished final edits and craft strong openings for audience retention

Requirements

• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (our entire workflow is built around it)
• Reliable high-speed internet (500 Mbps+ download and upload)
• Strong sense of narrative pacing, clarity, and structure
• Excellent English comprehension and ability to work independently in a remote team
• Strong project organization skills for managing large media files

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing YouTube documentary or educational content
• Familiarity with YouTube strategy, retention, and audience engagement
• Basic motion graphics, title design, or color correction skills
• Experience with basic audio cleanup and an interest in sound production
