Back-end Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build new services that meet critical product and business needs using TypeScript and Node.js
• Build data ETL pipelines using Python
• Create scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices
• Develop server code that is extensible, well-tested, and secure
• Leverage automated testing, CI/CD, container orchestration, and modern development techniques
• Design performant, scalable, and maintainable database schemas
• Proactively suggest and challenge the status quo to improve products and internal processes

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Ethereum and EVM concepts
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining production services
• Passion for blockchain technology and decentralized systems
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with at least one of Python, C++, Java, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and Docker
• Ability to work independently and set up an efficient development environment
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• Contributions to the open-source community
• Startup experience
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems
• Experience with smart contracts/Solidity (a plus, not required)
