Job description

The Business Analyst – Segment Management will design, analyse and optimise customer segments across the end-to-end lending lifecycle to drive growth, profitability and balanced risk. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and partners closely with Product, Risk, Marketing, Operations and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain customer segmentation frameworks across the lending lifecycle (acquisition, risk, value, behavioral)
  • Define segment objectives, eligibility rules and success metrics aligned to business goals
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on segment performance: approval rate, conversion, utilization, repayment, delinquency, roll-rates, loss and LTV
  • Own and enhance segment-level dashboards and reporting (Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc.)
  • Build self-serve analytical datasets and consistent metric definitions
  • Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation and alignment with Finance, Risk and Data teams
  • Act as first-line analytical problem solver and conduct root-cause analysis for segment issues
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations and operational changes
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Marketing, Operations and Finance to implement segment strategies
  • Support segment-level experimentation (A/B tests), define hypotheses and measure outcomes
  • Prepare concise, insight-driven presentations for senior management on segment performance and trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with credit scoring or behavioral modelling
  • Prior work in retail lending (personal loans, BNPL, cards, instalments)
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms and A/B frameworks
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses and modern data stacks
  • Exposure to multi-market or regional lending portfolios
  • Experience in data governance or metric standardization
