AI Image Creator & Art Director (Freelance)

Location: Dubai, UAE (Hybrid — primarily remote with occasional on-site sessions). Contract: Freelance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain clear visual direction and guidelines for ecommerce and campaign imagery across product ranges.
• Create photography reference packs and capture guidance for flat shots, ghost mannequin, and styling prep.
• Transform flat shots, ghost mannequins or CADs into realistic, model-led ecommerce imagery using generative AI.
• Produce and refine reference-led prompts; curate and art-direct AI outputs through iterative workflows.
• Composite garments onto AI-generated models with technical accuracy (fit, proportion, drape) and retouch final assets in Photoshop.
• Ensure consistent lighting, scale, skin tones, textures and overall brand cohesion across all assets.
• Prepare final imagery for ecommerce platforms, campaign usage, and editorial presentations.
• Collaborate with photography, product and ecommerce teams to integrate AI workflows into existing pipelines.

Requirements

• Proven portfolio of ecommerce imagery created via AI-assisted workflows
• Advanced Photoshop: compositing & retouching
• Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Gemini, Nano Banana)
• Strong understanding of garment fit, fabric behaviour and styling
• Reference-led prompting and prompt library management
• Ecommerce photography workflows (flat shots, ghost mannequin) knowledge
• High visual standards, attention to detail, and fast iteration capability
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in fashion art direction, ecommerce or editorial
• Prior experience delivering model-led imagery without full traditional shoots
• Familiarity with scalable asset systems for product ranges
• Experience working with premium or sustainable fashion brands
• Knowledge of B Corp or sustainability-oriented brand practices
