Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the buying team across end-to-end product selection, order management and inventory control.
  • Assist in placing and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the buying plan.
  • Travel to local and international markets for buying trips, supplier meetings and product selection aligned with Ounass customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and supply chain teams to resolve shipment or stock discrepancies and follow up with suppliers for corrective actions.
  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis and market research; visit competitors and report actionable insights.
  • Help prepare for seasonal sales by identifying markdown opportunities and supporting stock optimisation.
  • Track re-orders and maintain an up-to-date vendor database and documentation.
  • Compile stakeholder feedback and produce buying feedback reports with recommendations.
  • Provide customer-facing support for special orders and stock enquiries.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to improve team performance.

Requirements

  • Understanding of market trends, consumer behaviour and competitive analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales and market data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across marketing, planning and supply chain
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Comfortable travelling for buying trips and supplier visits
  • Passion for luxury fashion and an eye for emerging trends
  • Confident presentation skills for senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous retail or buying experience within luxury fashion
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and order tracking
  • Experience conducting market visits and supplier negotiations
  • Ability to prepare merchandising and markdown recommendations based on sales data
